Fanfic O-Rama

Well after checking that one Geki-based fic I mention in the last message, everything’s been changed, so the watermarking of the pics if off……for now. So with that said, I’d just like to take the opportunity to set up a little ground rule considering the pics on this site. I actually do have a preference towards the pics only being used on this site. But since it’s inevitable that someone’s going to want to use these pics, then here are a few stipulations;

• first drop me a line to make sure that it’s cool
• if I say yes, take whatever you need, but host the pics yourself (through sites like Photobucket and ImageShack), and include some kind of a link to this site to give credit where credit is due
• only use the screen caps, things that I’ve Photoshopped myself are off limits. This includes the Ranger and main page pics for SPD, the Broom Cycle pic in Magix, the main page pic for Chronos, and the eventual main page, Ranger, and Card pics for Dimensional Shift, as well as any logos and section buttons

However, should I find that someone’s hotlinking my pics again, and without dropping me a line first, then the watermarks will definitely be a go. Like I said in the previous post, I really don’t want to do it this way. But if people like the plagiarist whose name I won’t mention (but it does rhyme with “ChangerDeath”) keep “borrowing” a little too much of my stuff, that’s going to distract me from doing what I need to be doing with this site, and that is of course writing.

This is something that I REALLY don’t want to do, but as soon as I get the problems that I’ve been having with my computer fixed, I’ll be  going through all of the pics to my series and adding a “pikapix58″ watermark. Now I’ve actually all ready done this to select pics in the Magix and SPD sections, and the reason why I’m doing it to all of the pics is actually the same reason why I did it to the Magix and SPD pics. Reason being that another person within the PR/toku fandom, has not only hotlinked some of my pics, but this same person has used those pics for fanfics that have some concepts and titles that sound a little “familiar”. And most recently this same person has posted a Geki-based fic that has a plot synopsis, which is no word of a lie, the Primal Strike synopsis word for word. Now I’m a fairly reasonable guy, and had this person dropped me a line to ask about using the pics I might’ve said yes, so long as he gave credit where credit is due. But at the same time beyond some of the pics that I’ve Photoshopped, there’s nothing that I do here that any rundown shmuck with Windows Movie Maker and some kind of photo editing software couldn’t. So to the douche who’s been hotlinking my pics, and “borrowing” a little too much from my series, congrats, you’re the one who’s ruined watermark-free pics for the rest of the class.
